It started with chakras
A chakra is a meditation aid in the form of a psychic or psychospiritual energy centre in the subtle body, as visualised in a variety of Hindu and Buddhist tantric yoga and meditation practices. Esoteric traditions in Hinduism mention numerous numbers and arrangements of chakras.
The concept of a set of seven chakras came to the West in the 1880s. While interpretations abound, the one you see below is widely recognised.
I neither know nor care if chakras really exist, and treat the chakra system as a useful metaphor.
7. Crown Chakra
Location: Top of the head.
Associated with higher consciousness, awareness and spiritual enlightenment.
6. Third Eye Chakra
Location: Forehead, between the eyes.
Associated with intuition, imagination and spiritual awareness.
5. Throat Chakra
Location: Throat.
Associated with communication and self-expression.
4. Heart Chakra
Location: Center of the chest.
Associated with love, compassion and emotional healing.
3. Solar Plexus Chakra
Location: Upper abdomen.
Associated with self-esteem, confidence and personal power.
2. Sacral Chakra
Location: Lower abdomen.
Associated with pleasure, creativity and emotional balance.
1. Root Chakra
Location: Base of the spine.
Associated with: Security, stability and grounding.

Then the Angels came calling
Talking with Angels is a collection of esoteric oral teachings voiced by Hanna Dallos in Hungary during World War II and transcribed by Gitta Mallasz.
The book – one of my treasured possessions – includes the “seven souls” diagram displayed below. Some readers will spot its similarity to the great chain of being. Of particular note is the role of “man” (this was the 1940s) as the bridge between creating world and created world, and the pairing of items I & VII, II & VI, and III & V.Talking with Angels is the true story of four young Hungarians in search of inner meaning at a time of outer upheaval, the holocaust. In the darkest hours of World War II, these friends, three of them Jewish, seek orientation and meaning in their shattered lives. During seventeen perilous months, one of them, Hanna Dallos, delivers oral messages which Gitta Mallasz and Lili Strausz record in their notebooks. These teachings end abruptly with the deportation of Hanna and Lili to Ravensbrück in December of 1944. Only Gitta Mallasz survived to bring their story and these remarkable dialogues to the world. She always rejected any notion of authorship for this book, saying, ‘I am merely the scribe of the Angels.’”

Seven souls meet seven chakras
In the next image you can see how I connected the “seven souls” to the seven chakras.
Chakras reinterpreted
I reinterpreted the chakras as a set of seven powers.
I carried out the work required to fully understand the function of each power over the course of several years, consulting multiple sources, engaging in much deliberation and producing many iterations before settling on the labels and descriptions appearing in the table below.

1. This refers to a metaphorical association, not a literal location.
2. The mythical third eye is located between the eyebrows.
3. The new creation might be a product, a service, a facility, another form of value generator, or, when undertaking change or problem solving work, an intervention designed to bring forth the desired reality (graphic).
4. Situated below the diaphragm and above the navel.
5. The PC (pubococcygeus) muscles are what we use to control urine flow.
If you compare the metaphorical chaka locations with those mentioned at the start of this article, you’ll notice I’ve reassigned the second chakra to the PC (pubococcygeal or pelvic floor) muscles. This is my rationale:
The PC muscles are treated as proxies for the reproductive organs, which I consider the proper location of the second chakra.
The newcreator will be able to locate his or her PC muscles more easily than the sacrum.
The sacrum and the tailbone (coccyx) are hard to differentiate.
